|Fields of Research and Research Groups:|
The department has about 70 faculty members performing
theoretical and experimental research in both
fundamental areas such as Particle Physics, Plasma
Physics and Nuclear Physics, and in Applied Areas such
as Optics,Glass, Solar Energy, Biophysics, Radiation
Heat Transfer, Metal physics and Polymeric materials.
Moreover, some members working in a very advanced
research topics like Fractals and Critical Phenomena and
Nonlinear Dynamical Systems.
|Ph. D degree requirements:|
An M Sc degree is required for the Ph D degree. Before a student can be
admitted to candidacy for the Ph D degree, the student must pass the
defense examination. Publication in a recognized journal is highly
recommended before the defense.
